17 years after the band's creation, Las Migas is now Spain’s classic example of the most feminine, bold and uplifting Flamenco. They feature the passionate gypsy singing of Carolina La Chispa, the twin guitars of Marta Robles and Alicia Grillo, and the free-form violin of Roser Loscos, plus rhythmic hand-clapping and percussion. Nominated for a Latin Grammy Award (2017) for their album "Vente Conmigo", and having recently received an Award for Independent Music (MIN) for the best flamenco album for their last work "Cuatro", Las Migas is one of the most magical and internationally recognized bands.
From the beginning, the Barcelona-based quartet has filled big theaters and has performed in some of the most important World Music festivals. After their very intense 2019 World Tour around Europe, United States, and South America, and a very promising start to 2020 in countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Argelia and Mali, this unstoppable band has resumed touring and will introduce their new album in 2021, “LIBRES”
For their tour in the 2022-2023 season, Las Migas returns to their Flamenco roots with a new show featuring the songs from their forthcoming record, “LIBRES,” stressing the strong ties among these four dynamic women that has led to Las Migas' unique style and international popularity. Their new music is luminous. They are compositions that smell of the sea, of nature, of flamenco, of transgression, of village poetry, of women from all around the world, of fighting for improvement and change. Las Migas is launching “LIBRES” with a fresh and renewed performance that brings out exciting and unexpected situations from each one of the four members. The new Las Migas live show builds in emotional intensity showcasing the exquisite, heartfelt style that has always characterized the music of Las Migas.
After many delays due to COVID, Las Migas will return to the U.S. for their 3rd tour in spring 2023.
